Lacey D. Lyle, FNP
Lacey Lyle, FNP began her career in healthcare during high school as a file clerk at a family practice. She continued to work in various areas of patient care including a personal sitter and nursing assistant. She attended Old Dominion University for undergraduate studies and was awarded a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. After working for several years as a nurse providing care for patients with a wide variety of health conditions, Mrs. Lyle returned to ODU where she earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Lacey Lyle is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.
Mrs. Lacey Lyle is excited to join the practice and will work closely with Dr. Nanavaty to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions. Mrs. Lacey Lyle looks forward to building trusting and lasting relationships with every patient and ensuring their healthcare needs are met.
Mrs. Lacey Lyle was born and raised in Smithfield, Virginia. She currently resides in Smithfield with her husband and two sons.
Shubh Sharma, MD, FAASM, D,ABSM
Dr. Sharma earned her medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada in 2009. Following the completion of a family medicine residency program at Heritage Valley Health System in western Pennsylvania, she completed a fellowship in sleep medicine at the University of Michigan. Dr. Sharma joined Neurology and Sleep associates of Suffolk in September 2014 and serves as the Medical Director of the Sentara Obici and BelleHarbour Sleep Labs.
While Dr. Sharma evaluates and treats patients with sleep apnea, she also educates her patients on healthy sleep habits and has a special interest in insomnia.
Dr. Sharma is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is originally from northern Virginia and now resides in northern Suffolk.
Rajiv B. Nanavaty, MD, D,ABPN
Dr. Nanavaty was born and raised in India where he completed medical school. He completed his Neurology Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia and is board certified by the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a general neurologist and treats all neurological conditions including Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, headaches and seizure disorders.
Dr. Nanavaty lives in Suffolk with his wife and two daughters. His children attend school in Suffolk and are involved in many sports activities both at school and in the community. Dr. Nanavaty and his wife are both actively involved in and support many local charities He is an avid sports fan and especially enjoys soccer, football , and cricket.

Chelsea P. Cannon, FNP
Chelsea Cannon, FNP joined our Practice in March, 2018. Her healthcare career began in 2011 working as Registered Nurse at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center and most recently, Sentara Obici Hospital in the ICU unit. Mrs. Cannon earned her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017.
Mrs. Cannon grew up in Western Branch (Chesapeake) and currently resides in Carrollton with her husband, two sons and daughter.
